Patton Oswalt had his first TV appearance on Seinfeld, as a video store clerk in Season 6 Episode 5, "The Couch". His poor character has to deal with a desperate George who just wants to rent Breakfast at Tiffany's before going to a book club and pretending like he read it. The clerk quickly moves on from George.

Oswalt then got famous for being in The King of Queens. He has also done a lot of comedy and voice acting since, such as playing Alan Shapiro in Archer and Professor Dementor in Kim Possible.
