Josh Charles's role as Will Gardner had been an integral part of The Good Wife from the very beginning.
One of Alicia's closest friends and a clear fan-favorite, Charles had even been nominated for an Emmy award multiple times for his work in the role. Which is exactly why it was so shocking when Will Gardner was violently killed off in the middle of season five.
