10 Alternate Universe Characters That Were Better Than The Original

9. Disney Meg Griffin

No stranger to time travel and parallel universes, Family Guy€™s Road to the Multiverse episode gave viewers a whole string of alternate realities to chose from. This included a universe where everyone had two heads (one sad, the other happy), a live-action universe, and a universe where dogs were the dominant species on Earth. Although the latter was the focus of the episode, the briefly-visited Disney universe stands out as a favourite among fans. The world was a perfect fusion of the two franchises, and included great touches like talking animals (Quagmire is a bird and Adam West is a mouse), a big song and dance number, and Herbert as the Wicked Queen. Keeping true to the Family Guy tradition they weren€™t about to leave Meg alone, or even treat her kindly. In this universe, the Griffin€™s daughter has been fused with Ursula the sea witch. In addition to being notably unattractive and overweight, the Disney Meg has tentacles instead of legs. The character only had a minor role, but it was such a great touch from the show that the Disney universe in general, and Meg in particular, was one of the most popular scenes of the episode.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
