9. Mad Men's Sally Draper Becomes The New Protagonist

Though several follow-ups to Mad Men have been proposed over the last few years, the most-discussed one has involved advertising honcho Don Draper's daughter Sally.

AMC reportedly fell in love with the idea of a contemporary new series with links to the original show, and considering that the majority of its characters would be dead almost half a century later, Sally Draper was really the only viable candidate.

It'd be fascinating to see how Sally's life was affected by her father's actions throughout the show, but with creator Matthew Weiner ultimately nixing all spin-off and sequel concepts, it sadly has to remain a compelling "what if?" and nothing more.
