Gilmore Girls knew how to throw a party, and it made sure its 100th episode was a proper anniversary bash.

The episode is centred around Emily and Richard renewing their wedding vows, which is a chance to get everyone together for a happy occasion, hijinks, humour, and a dash of horribleness.

An absolute highlight of Season 5 - and the entire series - the episode joyfully captures the spirit, character, and rat-a-tat dialogue and pacing that really make the show, without relying too heavily on looking back to the past.

It's dampened ever-so-slightly by Christopher turning up, but with Rory making a move on Logan, Emily admitting she finds Lorelai amusing(!), and Amy Sherman-Palladino's pitch-perfect script, it's exactly the kind of chaotic celebration of all things Gilmore the show needed.
