7. A Strange Encounter For Superman - Superman And Lois Season 1, Episode 1
Superman and Lois' pilot episode featured the Man of Steel's first encounter with a mysterious stranger in a suit of powered armour. The Stranger (as he was known to the characters in the first couple of episodes) had a vendetta against the hero and believed that Clark would enslave and later destroy the world as he did the Stranger's.
In addition to this, he seemed to have an encyclopedic knowledge of Superman, as he knew that the hero's X-ray vision could not peer through lead and that he was vulnerable to Kryptonite.
This, coupled with the fact that due to previous events, Clark was emotionally unprepared to take on such a battle meant that the Stranger held the edge over the Kryptonian hero, especially with his armoured suit in tow. Their globe-spanning fight was depicted using solid cinematography and VFX work solidified the Stranger as a dangerous foe, and one that Clark did not have the luxury of underestimating.
