6. Jake Pranks Hitchcock I
Hitchcock and Scully are, generally speaking, horror shows both as detectives and as people. You want to believe they mean well but that isn't true in most cases, especially when you're talking about Hitchcock. That guy is constantly doing and saying truly awful things. Scully seems like a reasonably nice person when you get him away from Hitchcock.
Both detectives are lightning rods for general mockery in the office, particularly from Jake. When he saw Hitchcock asleep in the break room, Peralta decided to go old school and put the sleeping detective's hand in a bowl of warm water. Theoretically, it should have made Hitchcock pee his pants, which would have been gross.
Instead, Hitchcock ended up face down in the bowl of water in the few seconds Jake was out of the room. Hitchcock was literally drowning and needed to be saved. Peeing his pants would have been a preferable outcome to drowning, but it still wasn't great. Honestly, the urine smell might have actually improved Hitchcock's all around odor.
