10 Best Family Guy Characters Only In One Episode

9. Randall Fargus

Mickey McFinnigan Family Guy
Fox

When Peter visits his son Chris's school, he runs into Randall Fargus, his favourite teacher from when he was a pupil there. The eccentric loose cannon Mr Fargus was known for his unconventional methods of teaching - namely, dissecting a dead clown and stuffing his lungs full of sweets.

Nowadays, however, the older Fargus is spaced out, and speaks in a droning monotone as a result of the antipsychotics the school board are forcing him to take. This prompts Peter to challenge his wife Lois for the position of school board president, which he then wins by a landslide.

No longer obligated to take his meds, Fargus returns to his old self, but is quickly fired from the school for throwing endangered bird eggs off the roof with his students. Though he is revealed to have been rehired at the end of the episode and back on his medication, he is soon confronted by Peter's hall enforcement turret, which fires as the screen cuts to black. Did he get away, or is Randall Fargus now a smouldering pile of ash and receding hair?

Whatever the case, it's undeniable that voice actor Dwight Schultz delivers as entertaining and multifaceted a performance in the episode, 'Running Mates', as his famous roles in both The A-Team and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
