If you grew up in the 90s, there was one thing that you knew for sure, and it was that you were way smarter than all the kids on Legends of the Hidden Temple. Back in the day, we just couldn't understand how they struggled to put together the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. I mean, come on, it was three pieces. Nowadays, we can cut them a little bit of slack, and after hearing from some of the former contestants, it seems like Legends of the Hidden Temple was a lot more fun to watch than it was to be on. What always freaked me out were the temple guards. Why were they even there? Would it have been too easy to send kids who are tired from shooting all day into a confusing maze, without having to introduce an element of completely random chance? All the pressure and excitement wasn't enough, they had to worry about a six foot tall savage jumping out and grabbing them? But that's what this show taught us. Life isn't fair, and neither is Legends of the Hidden Temple. Sure, they taught us at the expense of a few dozen emotionally traumatized kids, but a lesson's a lesson.
