5. Titans
DC Universe's Titans pulled off an impressive 180 with its second season, as the show capitalized on what worked during the first and dropped many of the factors that were ultimately holding it back. The tone was more consistent (and a lot more optimistic), the villain was in a completely different league and there was a revitalized sense of youth about it thanks to a supporting cast of young heroes.
The storytelling also improved a great deal, as the flashbacks felt more coherent than before while the show was more forthcoming with answers about what really happened with the original group of Titans all those years ago (instead of being intentionally vague about the whole thing).
With enhanced super soldiers like Deathstroke and cloned supeheroes like Superboy, the show leaned into the science fiction elements a lot more than its supernatural predecessor - all of which added a great deal to the story. And with it set to return to DC Universe later this year for its third season, we're excited to catch up with the Titans now that they are finally where they're meant to be.
