10 Best Sitcom Duos
8. The Gruesome Twosome (Charlie And Frank) - It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Part of what makes a duo great is how inexplicable their friendship is, and these two certainly top that list. Known as the Gruesome Twosome, these Philadelphia natives are truly co-dependent, as they live together, work together and even share a bed. Is it weird? Yes. But is it sweet? Well, kind of.
These two became friends after Frank came back into his kids' lives and ended up living with Charlie. Seeing as they both love living in gross squalor and are obsessed with strange things (such as the sewers), they quickly formed a bond.
Charlie and Frank genuinely live up to their name, as they are gross and behave poorly. However, they truly are essential to each other, which you can see in how they behave when they are separated. Hell, Frank even carried a Charlie mannequin around with him after he thought he was dead in "Mac and Charlie Die".
They're always thrilled to be eating grilled Charlie's and cat food whilst playing nightcrawlers together, so good for them. Plus, there's also a good chance that Frank is Charlie's dad. But, seeing as they've never been able to get a paternity test, the jury's still out on that mystery.
