Before he later died in prison, serial killer Arthur Shawcross agreed to an interview in which he'd lay out the gruesome details of his crimes. This 44-minute horror show is a masochistic ride through the mind of the man who'd become known as the 'Genesee River Killer'.

It's depressingly grim, but then you would've already guessed that.

One of the more fascinating parts comes when Shawcross describes his troublesome childhood. The amazing thing here is that his family maintain his upbringing was normal, and they suggest his ramblings are the result of delusion. That's downright scary, especially when Arthur then seems to lean on his behavioural problems as a child for his murders.

In total, the man killed between 12-15 people, some of whom were children. This, as bleak as it is, is an essential watch for anyone studying psychological patterns or analysing how one's adolescence (right or wrong) forms adulthood.
