Shocking, thrilling and puzzling. Those are all words that could be used to perfectly describe what Out Of Thin Air is all about. Prepare to scratch your head along with Icelandic police as they attempt to piece together what happened to two separate men in the span on 10 months in 1974.

When both GuĂ°mundur Einarsson and Geirfinnur Einarsson (no relation) mysteriously disappeared, police were put under pressure to find the culprit(s). Their intense digging and prodding resulted in six different young men confessing to the crimes despite being unable to recall them happening.

Spooky.

There's a thread of injustice about this doc. It shows, more than 40 years on from the unexplained disappearances, why confessions aren't always the be all and end all of crime. Anyone looking for a unique twist on typical mystery will find a lot to love.
