6. Mags Bennett - Justified
Mags Bennett is the antagonist in season two of Justified, played in an Emmy Award-winning turn by Margo Martindale. She's the matriarch of the Bennett clan who are established to be directly opposed to the family of protagonist Raylan Givens. Living in a very rural area of Kentucky, the family's criminal enterprise consists mainly of the growth and sale of marijuana. At her heart she is an unscrupulous gangster and while professes to care about her community, she is simultaneously selling off their land to a mining company. Nothing is below her in achieving wealth for her and her kin with murder and kidnapping as just two tools at her disposal to maintain criminal dominance. For such a cold individual it's ironic that her emotions are what get the better of her in the end. Having killed the father of a young girl called Loretta and taking her in as her own, she doesn't bank on the truth being discovered. After being confronted by Loretta and learning that her corrupt sheriff son has been killed by the Marshall Service, she opts to take her own life with the very poison she used to kill Loretta's father.
