Drop Zone showcases the team’s first official mission. Batman assigns them to investigate the rise in circulation of the drug called Venom and the cult developing it in Santa Prisca. Still missing a leader, Robin attempts to take on the role, but soon finds out that just being Batman’s sidekick isn’t enough to lead the members of Young Justice.

When the team arrives they are caught in the middle of a battle between a dangerous Cult and Bane’s factions over the production of Venom. They are forced to square off against Kobra and all its goons to find out the truth about the deadly drug.

Once they finish facing off against their foes they uncover something terrible. Venom has been combined with Cadmus’ Blockbuster formula to create what is known as Kobra Venom.

Why is it so good? Well, Drop Zone actually marks the first hint that something more complex is going on, and it also sets up Aqualad as The Team's true leader.
