6. The Central Perk Couch Was A Recycled Prop From The Elvira Show

Friends Chandler Dies

This is a really interesting one - so interesting, in fact, that it's a real shame there's no evidence to its authenticity.

Late last year, a Redditor suggested that the iconic Central Perk couch on which the friends have lounged so often was actually a prop recycled from The Elvira Show, a 1993 pilot filmed for CBS which ultimately never went to series and was never aired.

The episode eventually found its way online, though, with at least one Friends fan noticing the similarity between Elvira's couch and the Central Perk one.

Like many urban legends, though, this is shaky at best - it hasn't been confirmed either way, but beyond the superficial similarities and the fact that Friends started production shortly after The Elvira Show was cancelled, it feels like a reach.

After all, there must have been hundreds if not thousands of similar couches in California in the '90s, so it's not at all inconceivable that two different productions would make the same furniture choice.
