10 Biggest Idiots In Star Trek

2. Odona (Star Trek The Original Series)

Despite this girl's idiot status, She's really likable. First of all, she's a good lookin' girl. Second, she actually wants Kirk's disease. He's bound to have a few, let's be honest. Hey-oh! Now here's the other side of the coin: in the TOS episode 'The Mark of Gideon', she wants Kirk to infect her with Vegan choriomeningitis for the purpose of dying and possibly taking out a few of her overpopulated planet's citizens as well.

Her planet suffers from extreme overpopulation because of their immunity to disease. At first glance, you'd think this was a noble thing to do. Upon retrospect - and along with the fact that Doctor McCoy was able to replicate the organisms WITHOUT her dying - it's fairly stupid. You'd think that a culture that has the capacity to rid itself of illness on a planetary level would be able to be a little more open about their overpopulation. Have you ever considered moving to a new planet?

Nah - got a better idea: let's get the daughter of the leader of our planet to conspire with us on a scam to kidnap a Federation Starfleet captain, get him to have his wicked way with her, infect her with a life-threatening disease and then create a rabid and virulent plague amongst our own population. And this idiot went along with it. Still, forget the condom, Jim.

John Kirk is a Teacher-Librarian and currently a History/English Teacher with the Toronto District School Board. But mostly, John teaches Geek. Comics, Sci-Fi (Notably Star Trek), Fantasy and Role-Playing and table-top games all make up part of John’s repertoire, There is a whole generation of nerds-in-embryo who rely on him to make sense of it all, to teach that with great power comes great responsibility, that the force will be with us always and that a towel IS the most useful thing to have in one’s possession. When John isn’t in the classroom, he can be found in his basement writing comic reviews for www.popmythology.com and features for Roddenberry Entertainment's www.1701news.com.
