10 Biggest TV Game Show Cheats Ever

1. Michael Larson

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_EjKKGSXus Game Show: Press Your Luck Winnings: $110,000 Possibly the most famous example of cheating in a game show, Michael Larson became notorious after figuring out how to beat the system on CBS show Press Your Luck. Before his broadcast appearance, Larson was a big fan of the game show, eventually undergoing something of an epiphany after watching an episode of Press Your Luck at home. By pausing and replaying recorded episodes of the show, Larson realised that there was a fixed pattern to the spins, rather than something totally randomised. With intense practice and almost obsessive levels of concentration, Larson was able to reliably hit the best prizes on the Big Board every single time. During his appearance, Larson managed to win $110,237 before his run came to an end, equivalent to around $250,000 today. It was by far the largest amount won on a game show up until that point, forcing CBS to revise their system and tighten the rules across several other shows.
