Written by Sally Wainwright, the BBC drama follows the story of Alan Buttershaw and Celia Dawson who re-connect on Facebook after being out of touch for over 60 years. As they get to know each other again, love ensues.

However, it’s not all sweetness and light, as Alan and Celia’s children struggle to cope with their parents’ love affair. With wonderful performances from all of the cast —including another great performance from Sarah Lancashire — Last Tango is no walk in the park, but in an era where television is all dark and depressing, it’s nice to be reminded that there is still some good left in the world.
