1. Ariel (The Little Mermaid)
Our number one choice for a future character to be involved and one that the producers are strongly considering, Ariel is the princess that everyone wants to see - a mermaid who seeks out adventure and rebels against her overprotective father. Very much in the vein of the modern Disney princesses but she was easily the progenitor and the first princess of the Disney Renaissance. As for Ariel's Once Upon a Time adventure, it'd be awesome seeing her come up against Ursula and battling to save her watery kingdom or perhaps joining forces with Snow and Charming at some point to defeat a common enemy. Either way, we'd be stoked to see Ariel in real life form. We could see Ariel in Storybrooke easily being someone who works at the marina or the lake, hinting at her water-based alter ego. With regards to casting, JoAnna Garcia has long since been tipped to play Ariel and we agree that she's a perfect fit for the mermaid princess but perhaps someone like Holland Roden, Felicia Day or Jayma Mays could portray the young heroine down to a tee. Regardless, we're beyond excited to see Ariel on-screen and with strong backing from the powers that be, 'Part of Your World' is already stuck in our heads and for once, we're quite pleased.
