3. Wayne Palmer
Again, this is me lashing out at poor writing, but the manner with which Wayne Palmer was disposed of was dreadful. Helping to ruin an already pretty sketchy season 6, Wayne Palmer is put into a coma following an assassination attempt, but is brought out of the coma early to stop Acting President Daniels from launching a nuclear strike, and this contributes to him suffering a cerebral hemorrhage, from which his doctors doubt he will ever regain consciousness. Promotional materials for season seven suggest that he succumbed to his injuries, but like so many off-screen deaths that are never alluded to, they are very easy to dismiss. How's about actually giving a vital character a proper send-off rather than a lame death that doesn't really mean anything?
