One of his enemies is called Gangster Noodles Romanoff and, wow, how did this make it onto TV in the 60s? You'd barely need to change a thing to make a Roger Ramjet for the modern age. His brand of fist-thumping nationalism has already been popularly parodied on shows like American Dad and add a beat to that theme song and you've got yourself a hit. They might need to lose the pill popping though - people are a lot less chill about drugged-up pilots these days.
