10 Craziest Moments In The Walking Dead

2. Lori's Death

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmqrherqGos How Lori treated Rick at some points probably shaped how you felt about her. Most leaned towards the more negative end of the spectrum but that didn't mean that fans weren't shocked by how she met her end. When it comes to similarities between The Walking Dead comic book and the TV show, the comic is usually a lot more graphic and disturbing when it comes to deaths. In fact, it's very rare that the show is worse than the actual comic, but that wasn't the case with Lori's demise. In the comic book, Lori is killed by a shotgun blast when The Governor and his troops attack the prison. She even accidentally crushes baby Judith in the process, but her death in TV show is arguably even more disturbing because Carl is the one who is forced to kill her after she gives birth to Judith. While most characters die on screen, the fact that we only heard the gunshot and saw a clearly traumatized Carl walk away was even more powerful than actually seeing. The death of Rick's wife and the fact that he wasn't able to save her probably damaged him as much as nearly seeing his son get raped. He went on a rampage in the prison, killing walkers everywhere and hallucinating that he was hearing her voice over the telephone. In fact, he still probably hasn't managed to get over the fact that she's gone as it feels like it still looms over his head.
