10 DC Characters Who Deserve Their Own Show

4. Harley Quinn & The Joker

Dc Batman
Warner Bros. Animation

Of all the characters that the Suicide Squad introduced to moviegoers, Harley Quinn was probably the most popular (aside, weirdly, from Captain Boomerang). While some complained that her relationship with the Joker was heavily truncated in the film due to the runtime, it’s still a relationship that is worth a second look.

So why not create a heroes vs villains TV show that is told from the villain’s perspective? Harley Quinn and The Joker have a pretty messed up relationship so why not play to that and give fans a 13 part romantic comedy series through a severely corrupted filter? Give fans Happy Days but played out by the insane Harley Quinn and the her abusive Joker.

Just make sure that the audience can see the love between them though so when you toss in a real (necessarily lower league) hero to thwart their plans the audience sides with our two crazy protagonists. That would breathe new life into a tried and tested trope, and give the two characters their chance of an extended opportunity to adapt the Crazy Love arc.
