10 Most Disturbing Deaths In Simpsons History

1. Maude Flanders

"Alone Again, Natura-Diddily" sees Maude Flanders, wife of all-around good-guy and patient neighbour Ned, killed - entirely because of the antics of Homer Simpson. In reality, the actress who voiced Maude, Maggie Roswell, parted ways with the show over a pay dispute, and after a couple of episodes already plotted out used a sound alike actress, the decision was made to pull the trigger. On a t-shirt cannon. Yes, Maude Flanders died by falling to her death after being hit with a barrage of t-shirts when Homer drew the attention of the t-shirt gun cheerleaders at the local racetrack. Homer bent down at the very last moment, so the hail of shirts hit Maude instead, knocking her over the railing at the back of the grandstand. After hitting the pavement below, Dr. Hibbert declares her dead - and we've bore witness to perhaps the most disturbing, albeit unintentionally, thing Homer has ever done (it's later learned his illegally parked car also delayed the paramedics).
