10 Disturbingly Dark Episodes Of Children's TV Shows

3. "Changing Nature" - Dinosuars

ABCABCHey, how would you like to watch a TV show with a cast full of loveable animated characters and see them all get killed off in the final episode? You wouldn't? Then stay far, far away from Dinosaurs, which aired on ABC in the early 1990's. Known as "Changing Nature", the finale showcased the horrifying death of its cast of characters in a cataclysmic doomsday event. Worse yet, this apocalypse was created by one of their very own; the warm father dino known as Earl. When you watch a show like this, it probably doesn't register with you that history states these characters have to die. After all, why would you? This is just a TV sitcom, not a documentary, so they'll all live happily ever after. It's such a shocking, haunting ending that no one saw coming, with the final shot of the series being a snow-covered Sinclair home devoid of life, connoting an image of nuclear ash and a strong anti-nuke message.
