10 Epic Cartoon Themes From Your Childhood That You've Probably Forgotten

1. The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGFUijdwWdk I almost forgot about this one while compiling my list. And, from what I can tell this was a show that was received terribly, so maybe in order to keep your memories of the classic show pure, you've forced yourself to forget this one. But for the (roughly) six year old version of me, who would watch the late night (8.30) repeats of this at his Nan's just before bed, this theme was the very definition of 'epic' (Or would have been if I'd known what the word meant back then). As those green lights formed into some kind of mountain range embedded with video clips depicting of Jonny and Co's adventures, there was both a sense of adventure and the feeling that something was genuinely at stake, and it was really the theme tune that built up that feeling. I really can't say much for the quality of the show itself, it's been at least fifteen years since I watched it, and I can't say whether or not it matches up to the quality of the original cartoon, but what I do is say just how much rediscovering this theme reminded me that in my mind adventure was once real. The very nature of this list means I've probably forgotten something brilliant, and I'd genuinely love it if someone reminded me of a brilliant theme tune that I've totally forgotten. So comments-wise, please go wild.
