10 Essential Binge-Worthy TV Dramas You Might've Missed

2. Love/Hate

Approximate Running Time: 1400 minutes From the grimy underworld of Birmingham in the 1920s in Peaky Blinders to the present day streets of Dublin, Love/Hate serves up a contemporary slice of crime drama in which only the most ruthless and devious survive. Darren Treacy returns to the Irish city to meet up with his brother Robbis after hiding out in Spain, but before they manage to hook up Robbie is gunned down outside the local shop. The murder sets off a string of events in which retribution, betrayal and divided loyalties turn the criminal underworld on its head. The top notch performances from the cast include a mesmerising turn from Aidan Gillen as crime boss John Boy, an arch-manipulator of a very different type to his performance as Littlefinger in Game Of Thrones. Love/Hate is about as addictive as television gets (after putting on the first episode out of curiousity the next thing I new three days and five seasons had flown by). With its rounded characters and unpredictable plotting, this is must-see TV of the highest calibre.
