7. The Hound

The Hound is another character we're lead to believe has died, so until 100% proven otherwise, that's the way he will remain. Arya left Sandor Clegane bleeding out in the Vale, and refused to mercy-kill the warrior despite his pleas. That's where the theories begin to swirl, with feint suggestions that the Brotherhood With Banners could rescue and revive him. But if that is to be the end of The Hound, he went far too soon because of one moment everyone is dying to see. A battle to the death between the Hound and the Mountain, his brutal brother. The latter appeared to have died, but he's been... well... he's back, in some shape or form, thanks to the shady work of the mysterious Qyburn at King's Landing. It would have been a monstrous duel, and had potential to be among the best and bloodiest in the show's history, but if the Hound's dead, it's a waste of a tremendous opportunity.
