8. Cory/Shawn - Boy Meets World
Cory and Shawn are soulmates, there's no doubt about that. The relationship between Cory and Topanga is cute and all, but there's no power in the universe that could separate Cory and Shawn. They're together from childhood through college, and if Shawn doesn't at least guest star on Girl Meets World, it's going to be a massive disappointment. They were perfect together because of how well they balanced each other out. Shawn encouraged Cory to step outside of his comfort zone a little, and Cory provided Shawn with a tremendous stabilizing presence. Although Shawn projected this image of confidence, Cory was the one who came from a healthy, emotionally stable background. There weren't that many people who were really there for Shawn as a kid, but Cory was always one of them, ready to give him a hug and remind him that he was a worthwhile human being. Even the writers poked fun at how deep their bond was - when Cory was faced with the idea of marrying Shawn, his only real reservations were a few misgivings about what their children would look like.
