10 Greatest Minor Scrubs Characters

9. Jimmy The Overly Touchy Orderly

NBC

Played By – Taran Killam, Appearances – 5 (My Jerks, My Happy Place, My Comedy Show, My Chief Concern, My Finale)

Scrubs seemed destined to be one of the many casualties of the 2007-08 writers strike when NBC opted not to renew the series after a shortened seventh season, which ended without much in the way of major resolutions short of Dr. Kelso’s retirement.

Thankfully, ABC came to the rescue and greenlit an eighth season, which allowed the show to get the closure it rightfully deserved after almost 200 episodes on the air. The transition led to the addition of a few new faces to the cast, including the hugely inappropriate but hugely scene stealing Jimmy, christened the overly touchy orderly, played by Taran Killam.

Seemingly brought in initially just to be fired at the hands of Dr. Maddox (as the Janitor was – how any of the cast remained employed required major suspension of disbelief!), but Killam kept on popping up until the end to give out unwanted massages, albeit only above the waist – you’re welcome!)

One of the more recognisable names on this list, Killam quickly bolstered his profile by joining the cast of Saturday Night Live after the season wrapped, serving as a cast member for six years. He frequently pops up as a guest star in sitcoms and animations and is married to How I Met Your Mother and Marvel Cinematic Universe star Cobie Smulders.
