On NBC's Heroes, which will make its return this fall after a five-year absence in Heroes: Reborn, Sylar was a bit of an odd one. Among the many superpowers seen in the series, including flight and telepathy, Sylar's was perhaps the most unique; he had the ability to do some brain-trespassing trickery and steal the powers of the other characters. Sylar had such a wonderful sense of comic book gravitas about him, which he often balanced with a distinct lack of empathy, as he was often painted without a sense of humanity in the first season. Sylar was played by Zachary Quinto, a role that many fans are speculating about his return to in Heroes: Reborn, and he played him to absolute perfection. Though the show saw a clear decline in terms of quality as it entered its second season, Quinto remained one of the shining aspects in the less than stellar scripts. He took Sylar on an interesting journey over four seasons to create a villain that an entire generation of television viewers will remember forever.
