6. Adric - Doctor Who
In the entire history of Doctor Who, you can count on one hand the number of proper companions who have died during their adventures with the Doctor. In fact, until Peter Davison's run as the Fifth Doctor, it hadn't been seen since the late First Doctor' s era. Which is why it was such a shock to see Adric, all alone, stuck on the exploding Cybership. Sure Adric was never anyone's favorite companion, but he was just a kid. The way he went was so horribly sudden and harsh and final. We couldn't believe what we were seeing. Was it really possible that the Doctor had to helplessly stand by and watch his young companion die?
