4. Megan Fox - Ocean Ave.
If I'm understanding this correctly, Ocean Ave was meant to be an innovative show. It was a super low budget soap-opera bankrolled by a Swedish production company and filmed in Miami. In an odd move, they filmed every scene in both Swedish and English, hoping that it would help the show to succeed both in the US and abroad. This didn't work quite as well as they hoped the Swedish channel TV4 cancelled the show after only one season, and it was never even picked up in the United States. It just comes off as such an odd concept. I mean, I'm all for international cooperation, but what kind of production exec decides to get five Swedes and a bunch of Americans together in Miami, and just hope for the best? Unsurprisingly, none of the cast members of Ocean Ave ever really amounted to much. Except, of course, for Megan Fox. She was a main character on the show named Ione Starr, and while she had appeared in films before this (her bitchy performance in Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's 2001 Holiday in the Sun comes to mind), I couldn't resist including her role in this soap. I dearly wish that I could have found actual footage from the show to present to you all, but it seems to be so universally hated that it has next to no presence on the internet. Sadly, we'll have to settle for a picture of her in What I Like About You, which came out about a year after 2002's Ocean Ave.
