8. Sam Winchester - Supernatural
Sure, Sam might be handy with a gun and built like a moose, but it's important for us all to remember the geek that lies just beneath the surface of his macho exterior. His idea of rebelling against his family is getting a full scholarship to Stanford. While Dean and Daddy Winchester were running all over the country being major badasses, little Sammy was busy studying pre-law and getting a 174 on his LSATs. Which by the way, is technically above the 99th percentile. Even after he accepts the fact that he'll never get to live the upper-middle class lifestyle as a soulless (you see what I did there?) lawyer that he always dreamed of, he's still undeniably the big nerd of the family. Until he's basically had the intellectualism beaten out of him by season 5 or so, count the episodes where he's not
visibly excited to do research. Hunting ghosts? Ugh, my life sucks. Going to library and staring at microfilm for six hours? Yay!
