10 HUGE Questions Following Ms. Marvel
1. Who Else Is A Mutant?
If you want to get technical, the first mutant introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was Professor Xavier in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, this was in another universe, and he was all but killed on the spot. Kamala Khan is the first Earth-616 mutant revealed, which was a huge surprise for several reasons.
There are some big names that came over to Marvel from Fox within the realms of mutation, and most would have assumed the likes of Xavier, Magneto, Wolverine, or Jean Grey would have been the first real mutant introduced to the MCU. At the very least it could be assumed that the franchise's first mutant would be an actual mutant from the comics.
The fact that the revelation came from an Inhuman from the source material was completely left field, but more so than anything else, it opens SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES. All bets are off. There is no more precedent now. If Kamala Khan can be a mutant in the MCU, there is no reason to believe that any other character already in the franchise can't be either.
Who will be the next revelation? Wanda has been teased as having a mutation, but what about Bruce Banner? Is that why he survived the accident that should have killed him? Is a mutation the real reason Clint Barton never misses? There is no end to the possiblities.
