10 HUGE Questions Following Ms. Marvel
Consider the MCU game officially changed.
Ms. Marvel has now come and gone, and it has been quite the event on Disney+. It kept up the MCU’s incredible streak of introducing amazing new characters, it dropped a few mega-teases for the future of the franchise, and though it wasn’t without its flaws, it was a fun time.
Now that the dust has settled however, it’s time to start thinking about what Ms. Marvel has started. We may be less than a week removed from the series finale, but this is the MCU, and particularly at the breathtaking pace it is moving now, it is never too early to start thinking about the future.
As a series, Ms. Marvel set up a lot. Kamala’s powers, her story as a hero in general, and of course The Marvels in 2023 have found their base in Ms. Marvel, but there are still so many questions left as of yet unanswered. Fans will get closure on all of these questions in time (hopefully), but for now, these are eating away at fans' minds, leaving them unable to wait for what is to come next.
Whether it is regarding a small part of the series, or a huge revelation for the MCU in general, we need answers far quicker than they will ultimately come.
10. Has The MCU Given Up On Inhumans Entirely?
There was a time, several years ago, when it seems as though the Inhumans would have a big part to play in the future of the MCU. Instead however, the Phase Three movie was scrapped altogether, the series on ABC flopped disastrously, and no one seems to know if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is actually canon or not.
With Ms. Marvel, there came a new possibility that the race would come to the franchise once again, but with the momentous change to both Kamala's character and to the MCU going forward, in that Ms. Marvel is actually a mutant, once again the Inhumans have been passed over.
It would be easy to assume that this would be the final nail in the MCU’s Inhuman coffin, but thanks to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, there may be some hope yet. Would Black Bolt have been included as a member of the Illuminati if the Inhumans weren’t in the franchise’s future in some way?
Kevin Feige and co. could have filled that chair with absolutely anybody, surely there was a reason behind the keeper of the Terrigen Mist? Right? Or will this be one of those teases that ultimately goes absolutely nowhere?
