10 Idiotic Decisions By TV Characters Who Should Have Known Better

The Gallagher family is not exactly known for their good decision making. However, a lot of that is due either to characterization or environment. Fiona, supposedly the one that was definitely the most stable and responsible, should have definitely known of some of the consequences of her actions.

For the uninitiated, Fiona receives a packet of cocaine from her boyfriend's burnout brother (who she has also been having an affair with, but whatever). Instead of doing either of the responsible things one would expect from a woman with legal guardianship over her younger siblings (i.e. throwing the cocaine away or, at the very least, only using it with her adult friends), Fiona instead leaves cocaine out in the open, with several of the adults partaking.

Yes, Fiona is essentially a parent, raising her siblings for most of her life. She should have known that very young children are both impressionable and curious. So her idiotic decision ends in a very long list of disastrous consequences.

First, baby brother Liam ingests the cocaine, becoming unconscious and possibly suffering brain damage as a result. Then, Fiona is fired from her stable and well-paying job, charged with child endangerment, and spends time in jail. After being released, she is unable to find work due to her felony record.

While it is impossible for a parent to truly prepare for every possible circumstance that may befall their children, this is definitely one that could have easily been avoided.
