American Horror Story is actually pretty jam packed with jump scares, all but in this beauty of a season.

Coven is arguably the strongest entry in the AHS anthology and with some great chills mixed in with some good old school horror elements, a dash of comedy and a pretty deep and well thought0out story to it, acts as an enjoyable broomstick ride from start to finish.

Coven deals mainly with a group of young witches coming of age and learning how to use their powers but with a plethora of subplots, the show never loses its interest.

Flashbacks to various historical times such as the Salem witch trials adds a depth to the story and delivers and interesting spin on its storytelling, all while introducing elements like zombies, spells, voodoo and the stylish New Orleans setting which all work so well together.
