4. Matt Groening 'Autographed' Homer Simpson's Head
As we saw earlier, Groening was super proud of and attached to his Life in Hell cast and didn’t want to jeopardise his ownership/creative control of them. As a result, to get that series of shorts made, he created some new characters there and then. The rest, of course is history.
Needless to say, The Simpsons and its colourful cast grew to become a worldwide phenomenon.
