What would happen if you took Wolverine and Batman spliced both of their origin stories together to make Dark Claw and gave him a Robin/Jubilee sidekick and had him fight a Joker/Sabretooth hybrid called Hyena? It would sound like fan fiction right? Nope: it is an actual copyrighted character! One of the characters created when DC/Marvel came together to make the Amalgam universe. A universe where iconic characters were cut together from both mega publishers. Logan Wayne (really) saw his parents killed in front of him when he was five then whisked away to Canada, where it was not long until his Mountie uncle was murdered by poacher. After that he went to live with some nuns but was eventually drafted into the Weapon X program where he had adamantium grafted to his bones. After the project was closed down, Logan returned to New Gotham to fight crime. I assume he fashioned his costume on his fears of bat/wolverine hybrids. To be fair, I can see where he is coming from. That sounds sorta nightmarish. And thus concludes our trip through some of Batman's alternate personas. That isn't even nearly all of them, so if you like that, let me know and I can drag a few more oddities to the surface for you.
