10 INSANE TV Cameos You've Never Seen

6. Homer Simpson - Bones

Much as we might be stretching the definition of the word "cameo" here, this is also just too damn hilarious not to include on this list.

Early on in Bones' season five episode "The Dwarf in the Dirt," a distinctly non-human X-ray can be seen behind Vincent (Ryan Cartwright), and to anyone with a functioning set of eyeballs, it's clearly an X-ray of Homer Jay Simpson's head, complete with a puny, pea-sized brain.

This wasn't just a case of Fox nodding to one of their other shows, though - it was part of a wider celebration of The Simpsons' 20th anniversary.

Further to that point, Homer's voice actor Dan Castellaneta also made a rare live-action appearance in the very same episode as Officer Novarro, and his presence was even accompanied by a few notes from the show's iconic theme tune.

Yet it's the Homer "cameo" that's going to leave folks fascinated that they've never noticed it before.
