Could the Marvel Cinematic Universe be bringing Daredevil to Disney+?

It seems like it has been an age since the release of the last Marvel Cinematic Universe installment, and in the last 18 MCU-less months excitement has only grown and grown. Absence does make the heart grow fonder, after all, and Disney has given fans so much to look forward to in the coming years.

Not only is Phase Four's movie slate absolutely stacked, there are a dozen series heading to Disney+, something that is completely new and unprecedented for the world's biggest franchise. How much is known of these projects varies, but one of the most exciting aspects across the board is the return of several established MCU characters and the potential new team-ups this could bring.

Mark Ruffalo's Hulk will return along with Tim Roth's Abomination for She-Hulk, and Daniel Brühl's Zemo is coming back for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but why stop there?

Marvel Studios' movie and TV worlds have, for the most part, been kept distant from each other, but now the door is open for many more characters to make their MCU returns within the confines of Disney+, some of which make too much sense to ignore.

10. Daisy Johnson - Secret Invasion

While the news spilled of a Disney+ series based around Nick Fury several months before the 2020 Disney Investor's Day, no one expected the announcement that it would be based around Secret Invasion. There were many that believed this storyline would be adapted for a huge Avengers movie further down the line, so the fact that it will be brought to Disney+ is incredibly exciting.

However, this is not something that Fury should be tackling alone. He will have Talos by his side once again, but this would be the perfect opportunity to bring back into the MCU a property that has been kept relatively isolated within the wider universe - Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Unsure of who to trust, Nick Fury would turn to someone Phil Coulson trusted with his life on numerous occasions, Daisy Johnson.

The Inhuman is an incredibly powerful character, and was one of the best agents and most popular characters S.H.I.E.L.D. was ever able to boast. It's criminal that the show wasn't able to crossover into the movies while it was still running, but Daisy perfectly fits the bill of the kind of ally Fury will need.
