2. Courteney Cox Had A Miscarriage Days Before Filming "The One Where Rachel Has a Baby: Part 2"

Season eight's finale, "The One Where Rachel Has a Baby: Part 2", has a relatively self-explanatory plot, but it was an especially tough episode for Courteney Cox to get through due to her own fertility issues.

Devastatingly, Cox had suffered a miscarriage literally days before shooting the episode where Rachel gives birth, as naturally proved incredibly difficult for her.

She later said, "That was hard. Sometimes, like I remember one time I just had a miscarriage and Rachel was giving birth. It was like that same time. Oh my God, it was terrible having to be funny."

A rare blood condition made Cox and then-husband David Arquette's attempts to conceive extremely difficult, but after numerous miscarriages, Cox gave birth to a daughter, Coco, in 2004, mere weeks after Friends aired its final episode and two days before the actress turned 40.

It all worked out in the end, but she sure was a trooper making it through this episode while convincingly masking her real-life anguish.
