8. Good Will Hunting
Season 1 Episode 24 English as a Second Language When Troy Barnes walks up to a chalkboard with an unsolved math problem and the familiar music begins to play, it became obvious this episode was going to reference Good Will Hunting. The Community writers took it the other way when Troy looks at the problem for a few seconds and just ends up stealing the chalk. He then attempts to drink from a water fountain but it doesn't work. He ends up fixing it very quickly and efficiently, getting the attention of one of Greendale's janitors. The janitor pulls a reverse Good Will Hunting by telling Troy that he has a gift and that he should stop wasting his time with school and become a plumber. Abed even quotes Ben Afflecks character, and
insults Troy in the process.
