10 Mindblowing Ways That Arrow Could Go Out With A Bang

7. The Damned Joker

The Batwoman pilot has just started shooting in Vancouver this week, and they're taking it seriously - the cast includes TV and film veteran Dougray Scott as Kate Kane's father Jacob, who is likely to be taking on a similar role to Quentin Lance's antagonistic cop in early seasons of Arrow.

By the time Arrow winds up, it's likely that we'll be halfway through Batwoman's first season - and what better way to pass the torch than to have a crossover event, bringing the world's scariest mass murderer from Gotham to Star City.

Getting the go-ahead to use the Joker would be a huge publicity coup for the network, trumping season 3's Ra's Al-Ghul for the highest profile DC villain to have appeared on a CW show. Warner's prohibition on the use of certain characters seems to wax and wane with the phases of the moon, and with the assurance that this is Arrow's last season, there's room for negotiation.

With the show's prior focus on villains with a personal grudge or a grand master plan, bringing in a heavyweight terrorist-cum-gangster antagonist who acts on a whim, who brings chaos wherever he goes, who can't be outmanoeuvred or reasoned with...

That's something Arrow's never seen before.
