10 Moments Edited Out Of Your Favourite TV Shows

1. 9/11-Esque Imagery - Power Rangers Time Force

The Office Michael
Fox

Time Force is unquestionably one of the Power Rangers' most beloved iterations, with all 40 of its episodes airing from February to November 2001.

However after the 9/11 attacks, Fox mandated that the show's penchant for giant robots fighting monsters and destroying large buildings be toned down significantly.

As such, new episodes had their scenes depicting city-wide destruction removed, while existing episodes were also re-edited to erase similar moments for repeat viewings.

One of the season's early episodes, "Ransik Lives", even had the villainous Ransik's threatening monologue dubbed over with the show's theme tune because of its similarities to a terrorist manifesto (below).

According to the show's head writer Amit Bhaumik, the mandate of minimal building destruction remained in place until Power Rangers shifted to Nickelodeon in 2011, and only on Time Force's DVD release and more recent re-airings has some of the re-edited material been restored.
