Season 5 starts with the couple secretly having an affair. In the episode "The One With All The Thanksgivings" Chandler gets mad at Monica when he hears the real story about why he lost the tip of his toe (the best part of the toe!). She tries to cheer him up by sticking her head in a turkey and dancing for him, which causes him to blurt out a confession of love. They both react as if it's the first time.

Then just six episodes later, in "The One Where Everybody Finds Out", it happens again! When Phoebe is pretending to seduce Chandler in an attempt to get him to admit to his affair with Monica, he yells out that he loves her. Again, she acts like she's never heard it before. Did she forget about it? Or did it not count the first time?
