9. Spidercide

The Jackal was a demented former teacher of Peter Parker's who became obsessed with Gwen Stacy. That led to him cloning both her and Spider-Man, and the webbed warrior ended up with a whole host of clones out there either following a similarly heroic path or descending into villainy.

Spidercide is a particularly interesting example, though, as he was fooled by The Jackal into believing he was the true Peter Parker. His insistence that was the case led to the clone having a complete breakdown and embarking on a mission to destroy Spider-Man. Boasting all of Peter's powers, he also had a few extras to go with them.

That includes being able to control his body at the molecular level, and he can stretch his limbs like Mister Fantastic or shapeshift and completely alter his appearance.

Making him an anti-hero of sorts might be the smartest move, but a villainous, powered up version of Spidey tearing through New York City would be no bad thing, and the weirder side of Spidercide makes him a character it's easy to imagine Lord and Miller having a tremendous amount of fun with.
