10 Most Binged Horror TV Shows Of All Time
3. American Horror Story
This list has already talked to death about how great anthology shows are to binge, but American Horror Story does it with a different take. The show's choice to have each season be a singular story (as opposed to each episode) allows for plenty more time to develop characters and deliver scares. Does it always work? No, of course not (looking at you, Freak Show and 1984), but you can always hope the next season will pick it all up!
Like Supernatural, AHS aired on a cable channel, but having come out in 2011, it hit the market just before the craze of binge-watching took hold of entertainment. Thus, its prime years were spent in the golden age of binging.
It's shocking that a show as macabre and violent as this could last for a whole ten seasons. While the popularity of the series has died down quite a lot (with the latest season being the first time it has dropped under 1 million average viewers on FX), there's still a huge back catalogue of AHS on hand, with Disney+ taking the reigns and streaming the entire thing.
Plus, don't forget the spin-off show, American Horror Stories. This one fully commits to the episodic anthology format, adding even more AHS content to watch in a ridiculously short amount of time.
